 Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub is an American actress, comedian and activist. After emigrating to America, she was born in Soviet Union to Jewish parents. Her first professional work was as an actress in her early years as a child. In AT&T commercials on television, she played the role as Lily Adams (saleswoman) from 2013 through 2016 and the year 2020. Apart from her commercial appearances, she was a regular on the Yahoo! Screen science-fiction comedy Other Space (2015). Additionally, she was an actor on the NBC drama This Is Us (2016–2017). Vayntrub was also cast as Squirrelgirl in Marvel Rising in 2018 following her casting in the pilot TV series New Warriors. Vayntrub was born in Tashkent, Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic, USSR, and is Jewish. When she was two years old She and her parents immigrated to the U.S. as refugees to escape antisemitism, settling in West Hollywood. Due to the family's financial troubles, she started acting in Mattel Barbie commercials as a five-year-old. Vayntrub briefly attended Beverly Hills High School. Following her sophomore year, she quit and obtained a GED. She went on to get an undergraduate degree in Arts Communication degree from the University of California San Diego. She was a member of the Upright Citizens Brigade, and was a student of improv comedy.
